So much to say, so little time

5 May

Yesterday it was officially 1 month until I leave. I have a weird feeling inside of me writing this. Not in a good way, but not in a bad way either. I am so excited to come home and see everyone, and start my new life, but I am also so sad to leave all of my friends here. My life here this year has been great. I have had my struggles and hard times, but I have learned ohhh so much.

This last month I am just going to enjoy as much as possible. What makes it a little bit easier is that I have a lot of friends here that are seniors, or are leaving tallahassee by the same time as I am. I said goodbye to one of my best friends here yesterday, since he moved down to Tampa today. And after graduation, a lot of people are going to move to different parts of america. It makes it easier because I know I’m not the only one leaving, and we are kinda in the same situation. Oh well. I better get my day started!

I just came to say hello

26 Apr

I write this post with a lot of happiness and also sadness. The time has really been flying for me here, and I haven’t blogged since before spring break, which was forever ago it seems like. So yeah, A LOT has happened so far. As I am writing this, it is April 26th here where I am, but April 27 in Sweden, which means my 17th birthday! So technically I won’t be 17 until about 3 hours. I am so excited! So tomorrow night I am having a birthday party here at my house, hopefully it will be great. On saturday is prom, and I am so excited for that as well!

Now it’s time for me to sleep and get ready for tomorrow, the big day! Goodnight peeps.

spring break!

16 Mar

So my American spring break is finally here, and I am about to head down to the beach with my ladies Kelsie, Abby and Kinsey! I am so excited and so ready for the beach. It’s basically already summer here. The day today was spent at carina’s after school in only our bikinis, washing a car and what not! hahaha, i love florida!

But anyways, a lot has happened. I guess I’ll have to write more about it whenever I get back. I probably wont, buuuut, anyways. Time to sleep and get ready for tomorrow, PANAMA CITY! Night

Did I tell you about all my classes?

3 Mar

1st period – Journalism. This is the class where we write the school newspaper “Tomahawk Talk”, which comes out like 4 times a year. Friday, yesterday, our 3rd issue came out, like I mentioned. This is a pretty hardworking class, but I have learned soo much! Also, I have a position in this class. I got voted to coo first photographer. It’s like being in a real newpaper, it’s really cool. And my best friend is in that class. Carinaaaaaaaaa!

2nd period- English II. So this is a normal like a normal english class, just like we have swedish classes. I absolutely love the people in this class, and also my teacher Ms Axtell! I look forward to monday to go to that class actually. The class itself is pretty easy for me, I feel like I have already done most of what we do in there and I have a really high grade, so it’s all easy and good :)

3rd pd – Algebra II. Math has never been my favorite subject, but yet I got put in this Alg II class, taken mostly by juniors and seniors. Most people in my grade here are in geometry, which is the class before Algebra II. In this class I have learned so much, it’s crazy. The past two years in Vibyskolan i barely did any math at all, so this year is a real change. And I am actually doing pretty well in that class! And apart from that, I also love the people in that class. And the teacher is always messing with me, haha oh coach helms.

4th pd – American History. Omg, this class I have a lot to say about. The teacher in this class in absolutely crazy and it’s hilarious. He is a former soldier, and he is returning to the army in the end of this year. He is always talking to because I am foreign and it is so funny. This class is also really really strict, but in a kinda funny way. you can NOT be late, and he wont let you leave the classroom. and no talking, but eeeh it happens. I like this class a lot and I will miss it!

LUNCH. For lunch I usually go to McDonalds, almost every day, hahah americanfatlife. But usually I just get a sweet tea there and have a protein bar for lunch and that works good. If I don’t go there I will usually eat with my friends in the cafeteria, or I just walk around and do fun stuff!

5th period – Chorus. Ohh this class.. Mixed feelings for this class. I don’t like this teacher at all, she is a real downer! But singing is fun and I have learned a lot. But this is probably the least fun class out of all of my classes.

6th period – Biology. I love this class! I like the teacher a looot and the people in this class are so fun. I usually just laugh this whole period and we just mess around. And the class is easy, I have already done most of the stuff we do in there!

7th period – Creative photography. I where do I start? First I have my best friend Grant in this class which makes it great. We are usually not very serious in here, and I laugh so much in this class. Although, I have learned a lot about photography and also about photoshop. I will never forget this class, and I love going to it, even if it’s kind of pointless some days, hahah.

T.G.I.F!

2 Mar

Friday again and I can breathe, it’s the weekend! My week has been pretty much great. I have been going to school and doing a bunch of stuff after school!

Today was a really fun day. I had both 1st and 2nd period journalism, because our 3rd issue of the school newspaper that I’m in came out, and we had to distribute it. And then we had a “party” and ate a bunch of good stuff! 5th 6th and 7th period we had off because it was a carnival at school. I ended up going to Grant’s house instead and I stayed there pretty much the whole rest of the day.

Now I have just finished cleaning my room, which was a mess, because I’m having a couple of friends over tonight. We need a chill night, with pizza and movies. Smell ya later

And oh, this is how hot it is outside! You can legit go in a bathing suit and tan. I love Florida!

Busy days

23 Feb

A lot happened today. Only went to one period of school today, because I went to the district festival with my high school chorus and were gone all day, and we did a really good job, I’m proud of us! Then went back to school, stayed and hung out with people after school before I went to watch some of my friends tennis matches. After that I saw the first baseball game of my life, and it was great, I really liked it actually! Will defiantly be more of those in the future.

On our way home from kelsie’s, my host dad calls us and says that he has been “car sandwiched”, and that is rear ended and then hit the car in front. So the car was completely destroyed and it has to be fixed :(

Oh well, it’ll be fine! Tomorrow is friday, yaaaay. I’m having a little get together at my house tomorrow night with a bunch of food and a bunch of good american folks. I think it’s gonna be a great weekend!

Valentines day

15 Feb

Valentines day was so much fun! Nothing like in Sweden. Everyone was walking around school with balloons, teddybears, candy and other cute presents. I got a lot of cards, a lot of candy, balloons, and a flower, so sweet! Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera this day, but this is a day I’ll remember, a real american valentine’s day. I even got to be someone’s valentine.

Me and Taylor at lunch yesterday!
